What Vegetables Can I Grow In Sandy Soil?

Posted by admin on January 29, 2010

part of my garden has nice black dirt and the other half has more of a sandy soil. Is there some vegetables that grow better in the sandy part?

  1. howmidoi says:

I’ve had great luck with tomatoes and bell peppers if cages are around them for support. Vines (cucumber, pumpkin, etc.) do well in the sandy soils, as do spinach, chard; root vegetables, carrots, radishes, do great.

  2. Veronica's Mommy says:

asparagus also grows well in sandy soil
