Can anyone tell me some vegetables that I can grow in my garden that will grow through winter?

Stuff underground like beets, carrots, leeks, kale, radishes & others such as broccoli, cauliflower & onions.
Your climate is probably similar to coastal Oregon or Washington. Frost?
If you don’t get a really hard frost, you can probably grow snow peas. I’ve planted them in Nov. & harvested until April or so (Northern Calif, zone 9). Things grow much more slowly in winter, but in my view, there are less harmful insects to battle & no need to add supplemental water–here, at least.

Carrots, broccoli, cauliflower. Depends on where you live. Those things will grow in places with mild winters. Where do you live?

  3. bouncer bobtail says:

Chives will persist through winter, but are unlikely to grow.

Well depends where you live and how severe the frosts are? I’ve planted Kale as a winter crop recently (I live in Co. Cork).
