Try mother earth news and similar sites, or just google it. Yes the Amish set a wonderful example. What we often forget is how much hard work farming is. There was a time when you could raise chickens in your backyard but not anymore. Some places don't even allow clothes lines!The government and businesses are making it harder for us to be independent.
