If You Buy The Fresh Herbs That Come In A Flowerpot And Cut Them Off Near The Base, Will They Grow Back?

I bought basil and chives and cut them a few inches from the base to use them for a recipe. If I keep the pots and water them, could the herbs grow back? How should I care for them? Thanks!
Don’t cut too far down. I would cut about 1″ above the soil level.
Yes they will grow back as long as you have enough sunshine.
Keep them watered with some fertilizer added to the water.
Keep them watered and on a sunny windowsill and they should grow back.
A little fertilizer will help too,
