    Wow, I had no idea you could plant that many seeds in so small a pot… I only planted ONE SEED per pot, have I done it wrong? The directions say seed (one seed?) every ten inches, does that really mean a bunch of seeds every ten inches?

    Ugh I dont have a green thumb but I’m trying

    It’s true. It’s actually quite ridiculous. Here it’s roughly $2 for a potted herb, and around $3.50 for a smaller amount of cut herbs.

    if you want these …
    if you want these herbs to grow faster, try exposing the seed coat with sandpaper, do NOT pat the soil down before sowing, and use subirrigation to water. to subirrigate, just poke holes in the bottom of your container and set the container in a bigger container of water. this helps not to compact the soil so that the roots have room to easily grow.

    hey guy, its way way cheaper to grow herbs than buying them in the grocery store. it’s actually cheaper to buy the herbs in a pot than cut up and in the grocery store.

    I can’t imagine cooking with anything but fresh herbs. Only a pot of basil this year on the patio. Last year the mint almost took over a whole bed. Your basil, in particular, looked beautiful.
