Why Wont Seed From Fruit You Buy In Store Grow? What Is Done To Them To Make Them Grow?

I love to grow new things in my garden and green house, but I have tried many times to grow oranges apples cherrys from the seeds from fruit i buy at the store,they will not even sprut. what am i doing wrong?

   it could be because they are irradiated, or the tree it came from is a sterile hybrid.

   aplle seeds will grow but they take too long to bear fruit….i grow melons..with seeds from the fruit i buy at the store… try them and they should grow no problem…
