Which Type Of Fruit Tree Would Grow And Survive The Best In The Middle Tennessee Area? ?

Posted by admin on February 20, 2010

I live in Sewanee, TN which is on top of a mountain, but according to a map I am growing zone 7. I’m guessing I would be closer to a zone 6 because of the altitude. My research has shown certain types of cherry, plum, apple, and peach trees would grow, but any first hand experience would be great.

Try a kumquat tree, I’ve read that they are rather hardy. Why not build a mini-greenhouse instead?

The answer is yes. Certain types grow well in certain conditions. Also mulberry and liliacs if you like them.
