I’ve tried a peach tree and it never really did anything – then died. What can I get that will actually grow and bear fruit?

Depending on the weather right now in Texas, u’ll know what fruit to grow.
This is what i know: we think we know fruit and, as always, we will strive to ship the very best Texas Red Grapefruit and Oranges available in our gift packages. For an alternative gift selection, try our Texas Smoked Meats . These meats are hand packed and smoked to perfection. Vine-ripened Tomatoes will leave your mouth watering. Be sure to check out our Nutty Nibbles, certain to cure any sweet tooth. It may be a long stretch until summertime, but our Texas Supersweet® Onions and Texas Hill Country Peaches are well worth the wait.

Contact your county agricultural agent. They will know what fruit trees do well in your area and how to take care of them.
Texas is famous for nuts rather than for fruits, especially the areas around Waco and San Angelo, which are famous for their kuki-kris-chen nuts. The soil and climate are excellent everywhere in Texas for growing gunn nuts too. I suggest you try planting one of these nuts instead of a fruit in Texas.
Fruits thrive more easily in the San Francisco area.
