The extension service site has everything you need.http://solutionsforyourlife.ufl.edu/
Plus, this is a great site that is constantly adding new material. If you ask for a particular subject, she’ll cover it.http://www.examiner.com/x-8286-South-Flo…

Florida is like a geographical oddity of sorts when it comes to plants. If there were a plant that does not like to be grown in your area your local garden center probably will not be selling it. Plants thrive in florida’s humidity and their roots appreciate not getting frozen. Roses, especially hybrids, fare better because the roots are more protected from freezing. You ask about blueberries? Well, the blueberry capital of the world is in florida (Jennings Florida) but it is in the Northern part of Florida (just across the state line). I would one day like to live in Florida just because of how well plants do there. Consider yourself fortunate, now go, go and grow you floridian.

Oh, what a range of plants you can grow. All of the above mentioned as long as the varity you get is for your zone 9-11. You can even get some of the zone 8 plants.
Blueberries might be tricky. I did find some this year that is suppose to grow in zone 9. So we are trying them. I live in Southern Cal. Inland empire area. So far so good on them, nice and bushy looking.
On the fruits, herbs and Vegetables, All warm season veggies and herbs. Pick your favorite, plant it, Cool season crops, the same. Herbs, any of the old favorites. There are some that prefer to grow in cooler more woodsy areas (I’d stay away from them). Fruit trees and Vines, countless as long as zoned for you. You can even grow tropical fruit types also.
