How Many Years Does It Take For An Avacado Seed To Grow And Start Producing Fruit?

how about an orange seed?
i planted an avacado, and orange, and a lemon seed about 4 years ago and they grew into plants that are about 6 feet tall, but there are no fruits. how long will it take form them to start making fruit?

    From seed about 10 years and up to 20 years for an avacado, depending on your climate and the variety. It is time saving to buy a 5year old tree.

    hold out, you’re almost there.
    most fruit trees are about 5 years old before they start producing.
    FWIW: citrus fruits are grown from grafts so they start producing earlier, since you grew them from seed, you’ll have to wait it out.
    BTW: Pecan trees usually take 10-15 years before they start producing.

    D’OH! Chris is right, I did buy a 5 year old tree.
