Growing Fruit – Which Are Quick To Grow?

Posted by admin on February 27, 2010

Hello
I’m interested in growing some fruits from seed that are relatively quick to harvest, compared to say the typical citrus which can take many years to fruit.
Are there fruits that can be grown from seed that will be ripe to harvest in about one and a half years, or less?
I’m a new gardener!
Thanks :)

  1. Maverick says:

If you are looking for a tree that will complete the maturation from SEED to FRUIT in about 18 months or even less then you are asking for the impossible
As no tree matures in such a short time.
But if you can settle for herbs that produce fruits in that time then you have plenty of choice .
Such as Tomato , lady’s finger, strawberries, grapes etc. Since you are new to it , start fro herbs

    Melons: cantalope, honeydew, watermelon.
    Beetberry (Chenopodium capitatum)
