Can I Grow Citrus Fruit In Zone 6?

Posted by admin on February 8, 2010

My family is considering a move from Southern California to Northern, Zone 6. I have two beloved, healthy citrus trees in pots that I’d hate to leave behind. Would they survive winter indoors or in a greenhouse of some kind?

Both are commonly grown as indoor plants in colder places. They can be set outside in warmer weather. In fact both are sold in many sed catalogs as house plants. You could even add a Blood orange to the group.
